The Lamy 2000 was designed in 1966 by Gerd A. Müller, an industrial designer and supporter of the "Bauhaus" style. The design of the pen symbolizes the period in which this pen was designed. The Lamy 2000 symbolizes the Lamy brand. This limited edition of titanium was produced once in 2009.
The Lamy 2000 used revolutionary techniques for its time. For example, the clip is made of solid stainless steel and the Lamy 2000 was the first pen with brushed finishes, both the plastic (makrolon) and the metal. The collection is available in fountain pen, ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil, four-colour ballpoint pen and, since 2006, rollerball. The ballpoint pen is also available in wood since 2003.
The ballpoint pen comes with the LAMY M16 medium black refill.
