The red vineyard was painting by Vincent van Gogh, in November 1888 in Arles. It shows a group of farmers busy with the grape harvest. Van Gogh painted the scene in his studio on November 5, 1888, entirely from memory, after a walk through the vineyards the night before. He completed it after a great effort within one day and wrote in his letters: "Oh well, my study of the vineyard - I have sweated blood and tears, but I have succeeded". The canvas is seen as a counterpart in complementary color contrasts to The Green Vineyard, which Van Gogh made shortly before, in September 1888, also in Arles.
This Visconti Van Gogh series is made from natural resin uniquely blended to represent palettes of oil paints and is inspired by the artist's color and technique. As a result, each fountain pen has its own unique color palette. The Visconti fountain pen has the well-known eighteen facets, where the many edges enhance the vibrant colours.
Due to the nature of the material, there may be some variation in the pattern than shown in the photo.
