Vincent Van Gogh made the painting of a pink flowering peach tree in 1888 after the death of Anton Mauve, founder of the Laren School. Anton Mauve was married to Van Gogh's niece. The Visconti Souvenir de Mauve is inspired by this painting.
This Visconti Van Gogh series is made from natural resin uniquely blended to represent palettes of oil paints and is inspired by the artist's color and technique. As a result, each fountain pen has its own unique color palette. The Visconti fountain pen has the well-known eighteen facets, where the many edges enhance the vibrant colours.
